When I got home, my wonderful boyfriend had already fixed "uma loira bem gelada" (literally = a blondy really cold, Brazilian slang = a really cold beer) and "camarão Alho e Óleo" (garlic fried shrimps)! YUMMY! I really enjoyed the sun,  the shrimps,  the beer and my wonderful exotic boyfriend!

Egg and farofa!!! Yummy!!

It is really delicious! I could never imagine that! Farofa is a kind of flour made from Manioc (a kind of root vegetable). Brazilians like to use it to make the food more dry. They're not so fond of food with a lot of sauce. If it is a lot of sauce, they will add some flour so that the food get really dry!

I've never been a big fan of farofa, but eggs and farofa is actually really good! By the way, farofan is imported from Brazil!

The program covers everything from the minimal bikinis to the big African-inspired clothes that are used in Salvador! Really interesting program! It is available on SVT Play until the 11 of February! Watch it!! It's only 30 minutes!! (The program is in Swedish and Portuguese) To see the video, click here!

No happy new year without meet from Brazil!

Proud fiancé with Brazilian meat in his hand!

It had to be fresh meat for the New Year's Dinner. Jair was determined that there will be no happy new year if we did not get meat from Brazil. Poor meat is a poor year, he stated firmly when we looked at the frozen fillet of beef from New Zealand. Fillet of beef cost 355 SEK (36 Euro), we will eat it with devotion! Good thing it's not just me who make money anymore!

Almost in Brazil - at least it feels like it!

The trams and the buses here in Brazil... Oh sorry I meant Gothenburg!!! The trams and buses here reminds me of the buses in São Paulo because they are always packed to the limit! Additionally there is just a few doors to get in or out from the train, therefore a plan is needed when entering the packed buss otherwise you won't get off!

But at least, the buses in Gothenburg doesn't have a weird system which means that every passenger needs to enter in the front and than make there way to go off in the back!!! This is very difficult, especially if you are going off on the next stop!

In Gothenburg people go both off and on from the front of the buss or in the back, it doesn't matter!!!
Anyway, I can't help myself, I really miss Brazil!!!!

ME EATING BABY FOOD?!?!

Boa noite (as would say in Brazil at this hour)!

Now I know why the Brazilians were laughing at me when I said in portuguese that I eat porridge every morning, in portuguese it is "papa". They were laughing because they thought that I eat BABY FOOD every morning!!! The portuguese word "papa" is used for a lot of things, but in general for baby food and gruel (välling). At least now I know...

Today I have been cooking again... or I'm not sure that you can call it cooking, because I cooked that food yesterday, I just heated it up today and put an extra ingredient into it.

Yesterday the food got too spicy so I had to put some cream I think you can translate it to mini-cream or something like that. And do you know what? No, this dish is a true success, at least according to me... :-) Aren't I a great chef?

Today I have a dilemma... to good things might happen and I need to choose now, before I know the other good thing... Hmmm.... I guess I will rely on fate this time! Anyway, it is very good either way!! It couldn't be better so what am I whining for???

Good night everyone!!

Up with the cock after "Noite de Brasil"

09.57 Borås - Sweden

"Up with the cock"

Yes, today I’m up with the cock as way say when we wake up early in Sweden. Today it is Saturday but I want some things done, so I had to wake up early. I don’t know about the rest of the world, but Swedish cocks are waking up at 7.00 am every morning and then they are making a hell of a sound to wake the whole neighborhood up… isn’t that right?

Now I have just 30 minutes for my blog, of course!! Haha!! Then I’m going on a spinning class at my gym. Then I need to study A LOT, different subjects… Anyway this is not very common to do in Sweden – to go up early on Saturday to work out and study hehe!!

I’m even going to be this ambitious so I’m not sure if I will go out tonight, and then I can wake up early tomorrow again to study, hehe!!!

Yesterday, we had a Brazilian night at my grandparents place! They loved the Brazilian things! And to really celebrate we drank wine. Ohh God, I have missed drinking wine to everything… It is not very common to have wine in Brazil it is more common with beer and Capirinha.

My lovely grandparents!!!

If I have time today, I will have a very traditional Swedish meal at my grandparents’ house. This dish is called “Lutfisk” and is a special fish that we eat around Christmas in Sweden. If I remember right it is like jelly and I think we have it with cinnamon, and not all Swedish people like it. I will probably go there today, because it was several years ago that I ate it!!!

Anyway now I have to go to my gym!!

Get to know Borås - eat Brazilian in Borås

02:17 Borås - Sweden

Boa noite!

Just a minute ago me and Evelina just finished watching a horror movie - we are not going to adopt any kids - for sure! Eve didn't even feel like smoking any more - it could be a small girl standing outside hiding somewhere...

It took us two hours to manage to put the movie on! So when we finally managed to not only hear the sound of the movie but also to actually see what happened in the movie - we had already finished the big bowl of chopped fruits and the popcorn! We couldn't eat anymore, so we watched movie without snacks... rsrs

Earlier today - or more like yesterday now - I went on a small tour in the rainy town, where I live – unfortunately it didn’t rain as traditional but anyway… rsrs

Rainy town – also called Borås – is not a very big town. But almost everyone I know in Sweden lives here. There are 100 000 people in Borås and almost everyone knows each other in one way or another.

My dad, my little brother and me

My brother is looking at me like: are-you-serious-another picture-come-on!?!?!?!

This is called Stora Torget - which means The Big Square. Notice that we have a very nice fare on the square at fridays (you can see the small tents on the right side of the picture).

The building in the background is a signuture of Borås - that is the court house and it also use to be a prision over there - so a lot of bad guys use to hang out there. It is also were my Dad and his wife Linda got married so it is a place of joy as well. Furthermore, there use to be a nice pub/club there but as they did some illegal stuff they had to close down (they actually closed down like three times!!!)

Linda, dad and babybrother Jack

My mum and my other little brother :)

Both today and yesterday I made some Brazilian stuff for my family. Yesterday I made some for my mum and my brother and today for my dad, his wife and my best friend Evelina. Almost everything turned out really good but I wasn't very good at mixing Capirinha - so I need to learn better.... haha. But I made one with Cachaca (without ice) that was alright... Anyway the rest was great - and I actually managed to make some really nice stuff out of Tapioca to fix my dad's balcony haha...

The tapioca didn't really corporate with me so my dad and his wife can be very happy if they can just get the fork out from the tapioca mixture that I made - haha!!! Sorry....

Evelina was the one making Brigadeiro - haha!!! Very messy!

The pao de queijo was actually very popular and finished very quickly - it was actually very good with parmesao in it. My dad and Linda asked me to send them some of the flour from Brazil. They loved it! The called them cheese doodles, but less messy!

Everyone in Sweden have so far been very amazed by the “typical Swedish knäckebröd” that is from Brazil. This is a close up comparison between a typical Swedish from Sweden and a typical Swedish from Brazil!! Can anyone see the difference?!?!

About the typical Swedish one from Brazil - I can tell you that everyone actually loves it!!!

My best friend Evelina and me!

My little brother absolutely loves to suck on his baby Havianas - how cute!?!!!!

Time to go to bed!
