The last day of 2011. Can't believe that time goes so fast. But time goes fast when you're having fun!
My 2011 has been wonderful! It started in January (as for all others) ... At the end of December 2010, I choose to quite my job and went back to Brazil with my fiancel. He had been in Sweden for 6 months, but his tourist visa had ended. He had to go back to Brazil to apply for a visa to work and study in Sweden, it was going take about 9 months. 9 months! We thought it was 9 months too much to be apart from each other. Since I both worked full time and studied full time we decided to go to Brazil and I would study from there. Jair got his visa in March. It did not even take 4 months!
In Brazil, I studied five distance courses on the same time which corresponds to 60 hours per week! (Do I need to mention that I'm pretty tired of school at the moment!)
My brother was also there with us in Brazil. We all stayed in Jair's house together with his family in the favela (shantytown). Jair's mother washed everything by hand, so my family and Jair's brother in Portugal saved money and bought a washing machine for her! Now, she never needs to wash by hand again! We also gave Jair's mother an electical iron for her birthday. Now she won't need to heat up an iron over the fire anymore!
In March, I was in an accident. Or a robbery rather. Two of my teeth were almost knocked out and I had to get some stiches around my mouth and on the back of my head. The mouth heals very quickly, so after three weeks, I was visually recovered. Of course this was no fun, but I recovered pretty quickly.
We stayed in Brazil until June. In June, we were back in Sweden. Our plane landed in the middle of the night. The next day I went to a job interview and got the job! I started working right away. Then we moved to Gothenburg in September. Jair started Swedish for Immigrants. I got a new job. Jair got a job as a dishwasher. Then he got to a job as a cleaner.
Our life in Sweden has really got a flying start! After only six months here, Jair are starting to feel at home! 2012 will be a good year!

Wedding cake thoughts - part 1
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
The cake, yes, the cake, yeah... How do I do with that?
One thing that is certain is that I will not buy a 8600-SEK-cake (860 Euro). I'm just too stingy for that ... or as I prefer to say, I'm just too ECONOMIC THINKING to eat an expensive cake like that! There have to be cheaper cakes than this!
My wonderful, beautiful, Brazilian friend, who will also be one of the three bridesmaids at the wedding, is helping me with all the wedding stuff in Brazil. She has seen the offer from one of the hotels and made it clear almost immediately that everything was very expensive... She also told me that in Brazil it's possible to rent a wedding cake that all guests will take pictures of and then everyone will eat another cake. That's one idea, but I'm not sure that I think it's that important too have a beautiful cake, I think that the eatable cake will be enough.
Many people ask me if there are no bakeries in Brazil where you can order the cake by yourself, it has to be cheaper then. Well, of course, there are bakeries, but I do not know how many (or if there are any) on this island. And we can't really take the cake on a two-hour boat ride in 35 degrees from Salvador to Morro de São Paulo.
But I think, I can be happy with a less advanced cake ... It seems difficult to make several cakes that are stacked on each other, but it should be easier to buy one of this cake holders that seperate the layers, like this we will only need a few cakes in different sizes. There are a lot of women in Brazil who bakes and are really good at it so this should be possible! It feels better to pay good money to someone who really needs it also than some greedy hotel!

This cake shouldn't be that advanced, do you think?!?!?! Or is it !?!?! |

No happy new year without meet from Brazil!

It had to be fresh meat for the New Year's Dinner. Jair was determined that there will be no happy new year if we did not get meat from Brazil. Poor meat is a poor year, he stated firmly when we looked at the frozen fillet of beef from New Zealand. Fillet of beef cost 355 SEK (36 Euro), we will eat it with devotion! Good thing it's not just me who make money anymore!

It' isn't even possible to see the cashiers from here (in the other side of the store)! |
Of course everyone are going to buy alcohol today, the day before New Year's Eve! In Sweden we have monopol on alcohol which means that there are only one store to go to and it's owned by the government. The opening times aren't great either! So today this store is filled by people queuing. Almost everyone who is in here are queuing and we're in the back!
Cool and different wedding blog!!

A night person as I am, I still have not gone to bed. I'm just sitting here looking for inspiration for our wedding online, reading some other people's wedding blogs. There are indeed many wedding blogs on the internet!
One of the blogs, that I've been reading for like an hour now, really stands out from the others. The girl who writes the blog got married 090909 and got the whole wedding sponsored! In order to compensate the companies who sponsored her, she blogged about them! I think that is really cool, that it's even possible! To get to the blog, click here! (The blog is in Swedish!)

I'm happy that Jair also like Wordfeud! I think it's good for him too, he will probably learn some new words (because he plays in Swedish). For those of you who do not know what Wordfeud is, it's a Scrabble game to play online with your smartphone.

My boyfriend on a mouse pad!!!!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
Well, almost anyway! Jair went to the center today to buy some stuff that we needed including a new mouse. The cable broke on the old one for about 6 months ago.
So now we bought a cordless mouse instead. We have already realized what a great investment we did and that it will make our lives a little easier. We usually look at the various TV series, there is a website where you can see allmost any American TV shows without breaking any laws and without getting any viruses.
This is the website if anyone wonder: www.free-tv-video-online.me. We usually look through the computer but each time the screen saver goes on, we must stand up to touch the mousepad to resume. With the new mouse we don't even need to get up from the couch! Actually it's even possible to use the mouse from the kitchen even if that is another room!
But the funny thing with the mouse pad is that it looks just like it's Jair on the picture. He even had those braids in his hair when I met him. That's coooool!!!!!

Boxing day at my Dad's house!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
By the way, I think all Swedish people will agree on this; isn't it weird that "Annandag jul" is called Boxing day?? Why, are you suppose to be boxing? Or where Jesus boxing? Where the hell does this expression comes from?
For all who read this but doesn't know what Boxing day is in their language. Boxing day is the second day after Christmas Eve. Therefore Boxing Day is always the 26th of December. Boxing Day in Swedish is "Annandag jul"

Wedding fit! I have one year to get ready!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
Of course it is important to look nice perfect on the big day !Therefore I have set up some reasonable goals (and maybe some unreasonable goals as well)!!
I'll work out, sunbath, get a smaller butt, get face treatments, remove a thing from my face, become skinnier, tighter, tighter, remove cellulite (I probably have one or two...), stop curving inwards so much, sunbath, did I say get a smaller butt???
Well, it is a lot I want to do ... Get less butt I first thought was impossible, but then my friend Malin, who is a personal trainer, told me that I arch more than I should do because I have become weak in my abdominals because of working too much sitting down with a computer. The first thing that I thought was "Yes!" I can get a smaller butt! Some people are worried that they don't have any butt. I am concerned because I have to much ass! But I don't think I had too much ass some years ago...!!
Since early 2009, I have lived abroad for either a full year or a half year and therefore only been training the months when I was in Sweden, so I am very confident that I can get the same weight and butt in one year of training! I have done it before and I will do it again!
Of course it is important to look

Me, the summer of 2008, when I was fit! |
First goal is Beach 2012 (fun to look hot even then!) - My goal is to be 63 kg by then. I now weigh 66.5 kg - so I'm close! After summer, I probably have to be a little bit harder with myself and unhealthy stuff which I still think I'm worth time to time :-) For our wedding day my goal is to be 60 kg! But I'm a fighter! I'm going to do this! No problem!!! I love challenges!
Some people think that 60 kg sounds to skinny, but I say it depends on height etc. That's why I put these images below. There, I weighed 61 kg and it is not too skinny (or anorexia)! So I know what I'm doing! Haha!!

Pre-release of the new Bodypump at my gym!!!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
Today I have been on the pre-release of the new Bodypump which is going to be released tomorrow at my gym! The squats-song was awesome! I really love when it hurts hehe! Unfortunately, I was disappointed at the lunges-song (or not the song - the EXERCISES). There were no repetitions with weights... ahh... too bad! I'm a bit odd, because my favorite from the whole class is the lunges-song, because it hurts sooo f**king much!! And you get a really tight ass after!!! But this was more focused on the pulse and I find that hard... My muscles don't get cramp because I don't have time to do the exercise properly... But anyway the rest was good! I expect soreness in my muscles tomorrow!! Hehe!!

Wedding date - Complicated!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
Oh what a frustration! The wedding date is probably more complicated than I thought. I knew that it would be expensive, but not that it were going to be complicated as well.
Seems like we will get married after the Carnival and after the Ressaca (Hangover). A lot of people go to Morro de São Paulo before the carnival and to the Ressaca, which means Hangover in Portuguese. Ressaca is the parties at Morro de São Paulo after carnival. It seems anyway so after a conversation with a Brazilian expert.
Will probably be cheaper as well ... but we'll see! I'm still trying to get quotes on the price before the carnival anyway.

Huge lack of butter in Norway!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
This is THE subject on internet in Europe right now, the lack of butter in Norway! How did they succeeded with this?!?!
I think this kind of comical actually! The norweigan government has a monopol on dairy products in Norway.
It seems like the Norwegians miscalculated how much butter that people will need at Christmas and blames partly people for being more healthy and not buying too much butter during the year and partly the lack of butter at the farmers for quiting with dairy products due to the low profit. Wages in Norway is too good expect for farmers, so why be a farmer!?!
The whole thing gets worse ... The Norwegians are coming to Sweden to buy butter. The problem is that it is illegal to bring a great amount of cash out from Norway. A Norwegian couple who traveled to Sweden to buy the butter got caught in the Norwegian customs.
Norway has also sky-high tariffs on everything that they expect that they can produce themselves in their own country. The duty on imported butter is 25.19 NOK! This really encourage the blac market! A common packet of Swedish butter can now be sold for up to 1000 Euro at the black market!
A Russian man tried, the other day, to smuggle 90 kg of butter with a value of SEK 200 000 (20 000 Euro) on the black market, but got caught in the Norwegian customs for smuggling! Smuggling of butter! Can you imagine anything so ridiculous in your criminal records?! Butter Smuggler!
Norway has now lowered its tariff of butter to 4 NOK per kg, but Sweden, Denmark and Finland still have no interest in exporting butter to Norway. About a month or so the butter duty will be increased again! So it all ended up with Norway importing butter from France and Belgium instead! Can you imagine what problems they have?!?!?!?
In the middle of this mess a Norwegian man, Johnny, find 30 kilograms of butter at the shore which probably has been under water for 67 years! Does this founding help the Norwegians? Naaah, apparently it smelled very bad and when TV2s reporter tastes the butter, he is nearly throwing up! But the consistency was good anyway!

Supernice DropDown-menu after 1,5 day!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
After 1.5 day I finally got the damn dropdown menu to work! Look how nice it is! Anyway, at least if you are using Google Chrome or Firefox!
In Internet Explorer, the drop-down menu stays behind everything else ... Not quite as useful or beautiful!
So until further notice, all readers has to download a different browser! Hehe! But there is nothing you will miss if you do not. Almost everything is available as a post in the blog under the Home button!
NOTE! I have not completed all tabs yet so if there is any that does not work, it is because I'm not finished yet!
PS. If there is someone who knows what I can do to fix the drop-down menu for Internet Explorer, please let me know! I already tried to fix it by changing the z-index - it didn't work!

Beach wedding on paradise island in Brazil!
Vill du läsa det här på svenska? Klicka här!
Finally we started to plan (and save!) for our beach wedding on the paradise island, Morro de São Paulo, outside of Salvador in Brazil!
It is an amazing island where there are no cars and the streets are made of sand. It will be absolutely fantastic!
The wedding will be held at a hotel on the island and we will invite about 60 guests. We will have three bridesmaids and three best men. I will have three bridesmaids who are very special to me in different ways. They already know who they are!
The color scheme will be in pink and coral like the pictures! Ohh I can not wait!
I will arrange some kind of header here in the blog for those of you who are only interested in reading about this wedding!
Those of you who had their wedding in Brazil or on a beach, I'm gratefully for your advises!

He looked like he was thinking and asked:
- How long have you known each other?

I know that there is no point in having an umbrella in Gothenburg, it simply doesn't do anything to protect you! Why? Because it is impossible to use an umbrella in a city like Gothenburg, anyway I persist that I need an umbrella and that it will protect me from the rain washing ruining my hair and my make-up off. Today it's a storm! Really! And traffic chaos! Both bridges over the river to the other didd of Gothenburg has been stopped for all traffic. One is now open for traffic again. The trams are only in function sometimes. Moreover it's Friday... Apparently a typical Friday for staying inside at home... because it's no point to put make-up and go out because it will ruined in one minute, just like my umbrella!
PS. Gothenburg is worse than Borås, Borås should be able to wash of the rumor about being the rainy town by this fact...

Bloging in two languages - testing, testing!
I have recieved some requests from readers to start writing the blog in Swedish again but as many of you said definitely NO ”the blog must be in English! I don’t understand Swedish!" So in order to make everyone happy, I will write in both English and Swedish from now on! Of course all my friends have to be able to read it :)
In the English version you can find all the earlier posts from the start of this blog, 2009. So there is a lot of Swedish posts in there as well. But I refuse to copy and paste all my posts since 2009 into the Swedish version as well....!!! Therefor, the English version of the blog will have some old Swedish posts.
I'm looking forward to write in Swedish again. After all, Swedish is my emotional language. I read that when bloging in a foreign language, you loose about 30-50% of your ability the express emotions... that's why we have smileys... no? Always I good way to express emotions!

Should I switch my blog into Swedish again?
I have gotten some comments that I should start to write my blog in Swedish again and I'm actually confused whether I should do that or not. Should I?
I decided to let you choose! After all, I don't really have any idea of who is reading my blog. Due to the statistics over one week the most of my readers seems to be in USA, Sweden or Germany. But I don't really know what language that you prefer...
Therefore, please let me know your preference by participating in the survey here in the blog (it's on the right side of the blog)! Please, please, please!!! It's totally anonymous!

Almost in Brazil - at least it feels like it!
The trams and the buses here in Brazil... Oh sorry I meant Gothenburg!!! The trams and buses here reminds me of the buses in São Paulo because they are always packed to the limit! Additionally there is just a few doors to get in or out from the train, therefore a plan is needed when entering the packed buss otherwise you won't get off!
But at least, the buses in Gothenburg doesn't have a weird system which means that every passenger needs to enter in the front and than make there way to go off in the back!!! This is very difficult, especially if you are going off on the next stop!
In Gothenburg people go both off and on from the front of the buss or in the back, it doesn't matter!!!
Anyway, I can't help myself, I really miss Brazil!!!!
